CSAGSI Awards and Recognitions of Service
Our organization is staffed and operated by volunteers. All board members, society officers, committee chair people, and committee members are volunteers. Everyone who helps create and run a meeting or CSAGSI event is a volunteer. The people who help you at the CSAGSI Collection Room at the Riverside Library are volunteers. The editors of the Koreny and newsletter are volunteers.
Without volunteers, our society would not function. CSAGSI can always use additional volunteers. Please consider donating some of your time.
The Anton J. Cermak Genealogy Builder Award was created in 2006 by then president Paul Nemecek to honor those who promote our culture and/or genealogy. It is given to both those inside and outside our society.
This award originated is granted for exceptional “Service, Leadership, Education, and Community Service“ in the field of genealogy. CSAGSI members and non-members are eligible for consideration for this award. Up to four of these awards are presented in any one year, with the winners being announced at the CSAGSI Volunteer Dinner. The President and Vice-President shall confer on the selection of the awardees.
CSAGSI Board of Directors members and Executive Committee Chairpersons should submit their list of nominees along with a short descriptive paragraph for each person being nominated prior to the first Board meeting every year.

Membership Meeting Hospitality Volunteers
At every membership meeting, CSAGSI members volunteer to set up and fill the hospitality table with desserts, cookies and refreshments. We always thank them for their help and we always encourage our members to help them with the hospitality table and to bring those desserts and cookies to our meetings.
